Remove background on image
Start by finding the image you want to change the background on. If you want to insert your own background, you must also have the image with the background ready.
- Visit the Background Remover website
- Click Choose a photo, or drag the image into the Drag and Drop field
- Background Remover makes various suggestions for you
- If one of the images is exactly as you want, click Select
- Otherwise, select the one that comes closest and click on Touch Up
- Use the red and green buttons to highlight resp. background and foreground
- You can resize the pen by clicking the buttons
- Follow the result to the right and use if necessary. zoom button to get closer
- When the result is satisfactory, click Finish
If there are many details in the picture, it can be a bit time consuming to get a good result, but once you have tried a few times, it is not that difficult.
Images where there is strong contrast between foreground and background are easier for Background Remover to process.
Now you can download the finished result. You can also choose to share the new photo on Facebook or Twitter.

Insert new background on the image
You can also choose to insert a new background on your image.
- Click the Replace background button
- Choose one of the built-in wallpapers, or upload an image with your own background
- You can move the cropped image mouse, and you can resize the image on the slider below the image
- When the image is complete, click the Save & Download-button
- If you are not satisfied with the image, click on Touch up and continue working with it
